Sergei Kuznetsov
(1956) Russian-German

The Russian painter and sculptor Sergei Kuznetsov lived for many years in the Netherlands and the US. Nowadays he spends a great deal of his time in Andalusia in Spain. He is engaged in both abstract and figurative art. Like many Russian visual artists, he first had to become proficient in the forms and lines of classical painting. Abstract expressions emerged as a logical consequence. “By applying the forms less and less precisely, the figurative is less and less visible to the viewer, while it is just as strongly present for me”.
